I think I have a new friend. It’s been on the front deck a couple of times now. He’s about 2” longer than the other one, and even though this one posed for a few pictures, I still like the photo of the one on the log under the leaves, in a previous post.
It likes kind of like a Mae West pose, doesn’t it?
I had to play with this one….”How do you like my snake look?” or ..I suppose it could be …hands on his hips…wondering what I’m looking at.
We were having a “sun-shower”…you can see the drops of water on his back. It wouldn’t come out of the shadow enough for me to get the beautiful blue of his tail, but I’ll keep trying.
Skink are fascinating. I've never seen lizards pose their arms and legs like that. I like the pretty blue tail color too.
ReplyDeleteHe is a cutie...does have an attitude pose...
ReplyDeleteWe also have them in the back yard. I will see if I can get a photo!
I am so enjoying getting to know you and your wildlife.
Sherry
Cute narrative. Good photos too.
ReplyDeleteLovely Lizard Images, the skin shine looks all new. Are they young Skinks
ReplyDeleteJohn.
I believe he is young, but they always shine like that. In an older post I have a closer shot of one..I like the "braided leather" look of their skin. One of these days I'll get the pretty blue of his tail. Thanks for stopping in.
ReplyDeleteHi Carol, Mr. Skink loves that sunshine--especially the feel of the heat on his belly from the deck....
ReplyDeleteLove the snake look and of course, the Mae West look.
Cute!!!
