Beautiful post Carol. I will be so excited to see my first painted! I have captured the Indigo and I know we have the painted's but I have never seen one.

Such beautiful birds, and how exciting for you if they are actually nesting nearby. We don't get these birds here in Alaska, so I really enjoyed looking at your photos. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous birds! There are apparently lots of both Indigo and Painted Buntings frequenting feeders near my place, but none have thought to grace my feeder yet. :< (
ReplyDeleteEnjoy their company!
Those are so beautiful! I've never seen a painted bunting. Once when I was sitting on our patio, an indigo bunting came up to our feeder. I was so excited to get such a good look at one. The blue is so vivid!
ReplyDeleteDang. Nice photos! Indigos are dirt common here in Wisco. I'll find my lifer Painted eventually. It's been my #1 nemesis bird for only the last 12 years. lol :D
