Another look at the Indigo and Painted Bunting

The Indigos and Painted Buntings are still coming to the feeders. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they were nesting in our woods. These are two different birds. Each has it's own color pattern. One has a ring of blue under its neck...the other a solid red from breast to his beak.

  2. Such beautiful birds, and how exciting for you if they are actually nesting nearby. We don't get these birds here in Alaska, so I really enjoyed looking at your photos. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Gorgeous birds! There are apparently lots of both Indigo and Painted Buntings frequenting feeders near my place, but none have thought to grace my feeder yet. :< (

    Enjoy their company!

  4. Those are so beautiful! I've never seen a painted bunting. Once when I was sitting on our patio, an indigo bunting came up to our feeder. I was so excited to get such a good look at one. The blue is so vivid!
