It’s been fairly quiet here today…One Raccoon came in but left as soon as I opened the door. I wasn’t able to get a picture of the Painted Bunting…but this Cardinal was kind enough to pose for a couple.
It’s really a very pretty bird.
A little later this hog decided to stop in and see if the turkeys and rabbits left any corn in the grass.
Maybe I’ll have better luck with the Bunting tomorrow. I saw 3 males yesterday.
Beautiful shots. I hope you get your Bunting shots soon. Helen
ReplyDeleteThe female Cardinal is beautiful. I hope you can get more pictures of the painted buntings because we don't have them here. The wild hog is unusual, too.
ReplyDeleteNice!
ReplyDeleteThat feral hog looks well fed.
She's a beauty and looking rather coyly at you. I filled my feeders for the first time and saw a red male cardinal in the bushes giving them the eye.
ReplyDeleteThe hog doesn't look entirely wild, but hungry and an opportunist. I expect I'll be seeing the javelina soon. Great captures.
Lovely shots Carol, and a lovely bird to have visiting.
ReplyDeleteYou do have wild hogs then? That is a nice picture of the female cardinal. They have all left up here. It is 21 degrees here in Ohio where I live as I write this.
ReplyDeleteWow Carol, You do have the 'wildlife' down there... We have quite a bit of it up here also (since they are protected)--but I've never seen a hog around...
ReplyDeleteWe do have deer, raccoons, possums, skunks, etc....
Have a great day. We have snow here this morning.
Hugs,
Betsy
Beautiful shots of the cardinal! Are the hogs dangerous? I'm not sure how I would react if I saw one of those in my yard!
